• 12–18 years of relevant experience in the RMG/Garments manufacturing industry.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior management position such as GM, DGM, AGM, Head of Production, or equivalent.

• Experience managing large-scale garment factory production and operations will be highly preferred.

• Strong experience in handling production planning, productivity, quality, manpower, cost control, and shipment requirements.

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Production & Operations to lead and oversee the overall production and operational activities of our RMG manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, ensuring quality and efficiency, optimizing manpower and resources, controlling costs, and maintaining timely shipment schedules.

The candidate should have strong leadership capabilities, extensive knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, and proven experience in managing large-scale production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall production and factory operations to achieve production, quality, efficiency, and shipment targets.

• Develop and implement production plans according to buyer requirements and shipment schedules.

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production performance and take corrective actions where required.

• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and production capacity.

• Drive productivity improvement, line efficiency, capacity utilization, and operational excellence.

• Coordinate closely with Planning, Merchandising, Quality, IE, Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, Washing, Maintenance, Commercial, HR & Compliance teams.

• Ensure production activities are carried out according to approved samples, specifications, quality standards, and buyer requirements.

• Identify production bottlenecks and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and production losses.

• Monitor production costs and implement measures to reduce operational waste and improve profitability.

• Ensure proper implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, productivity improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Review factory KPIs and prepare regular performance reports for senior management.

• Ensure timely completion of production orders and maintain shipment commitments.

• Maintain effective coordination between production and other departments to ensure smooth factory operations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, labor laws, health & safety standards, and applicable RMG industry requirements.

• Develop and mentor production management teams and build a strong performance-oriented workforce.

• Conduct regular factory floor reviews and management meetings to monitor operational performance.

• Work with IE and production teams to improve SMV performance, line balancing, manpower efficiency, and production capacity.

• Ensure effective maintenance and utilization of production machinery and equipment in coordination with the Maintenance Department.

• Handle operational issues and provide timely solutions to minimize production disruptions.

• Support management in capacity planning, factory expansion, new product implementation, and operational development.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Managing Director/Director/Top Management.
