Job Context:
∎ The role provides technical support to the WPE Case Workers in the host community (Chakaria and Ramu) and is responsible for expediting case management data collection, data entry and data storage in a confidential manner. She will provide the data to the Senior Technical Officer - GBVIMS and Technical Manager - GBVIMS for further compilation, analysis and reporting. The GBVIMS Assistant will support the mainstreaming of survivor centered approaches through close coordination with the IRC WPE team in particular to ensure safe and quality information management system for GBV case management data. She will provide on the job training and support to the case workers in for proper data collection and storage method.The GBVIMS Assistant will work directly under the supervision of Senior Technical Officer - GBVIMS with the guidance and support from the Technical Manager and wider WPE team
∎ Job Location: IRC-Bangladesh, (IRC Cox`s Bazar Office)
∎ Contract Length: Till April 30, 2023 (with possibility of extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Highlights of Key Responsibilities
∎ Technical quality reinforce adherence to the GBV guiding principles and women-, girl- and survivor centered support.
∎ Ensure support for women and adolescent girls, including psychological first aid (PFA), safe referrals and information sharing, adheres to best-practice principles when working with women and girl survivors of GBV
∎ Align with internal and inter-agency Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies and procedures, reporting SEA through the IRC mechanisms.
∎ Data collection and storage in a confidential manner from locations and providing on the job training to the case workers on a regular basis.
∎ Support in data cleaning and validation.
∎ Maintain incident recorder.
∎ Support in the roll out of GBVIMS PRIMERO.
∎ Staff Supervision and Development:
∎ Hold daily planning and debriefing sessions with case workers in particular to gain learning and feedback to improve the quality of the service.
∎ Mentor and support staff professional development and foster a positive team spirit to encourage innovative and quality programming.
∎ Identify training needs for the WPE team and support the organization and facilitation of training to meet those needs, in collaboration with the Senior Technical Officer - GBVIMS and Technical Manager - GBVIMS
∎ Implementation:
∎ Work closely with Senior Technical Officer - GBVIMS in consultation with the Technical Manager - GBVIMS to design activities that respond to needs and priorities identified by the case workers to support GBV survivors.
∎ Prepare and maintain/update detailed work plan(s) that support and achieve the goal.
∎ Conduct regular field visits to support the implementation of activities with case workers giving supportive feedback and guidance as part of the mentoring process and collecting data in a confidential manner.
∎ Give guidance to the case workers in making safe, confidential and timely GBV information management system with the survivor-centered principles.
∎ Identifying gaps in the referral and case management service to develop gap report for advocacy purpose.
∎ Support case workers through on the job training for PRIMERO roll out.
∎ Monitoring, Reporting & Administrative Support:
∎ Ensure that all data collection (paper and electronic) reporting tools are used accurately every day and are then provided on schedule to relevant staff.
∎ Daily/weekly data collection to ensure that the data is managed in safe and ethical ways.
∎ Prepare and submit weekly and monthly work plans in a timely manner, and incorporate supervisor feedback as requested
∎ Compile weekly data and narrative report to develop monthly GBVIMS factsheet and trend analysis report.
∎ Coordination & Representation:
∎ Identify concerns related to GBV information management protocols by all relevant organizations and agencies; report up to the GBVIMS Manager.
∎ Maintain effective working relationships with the WPE team, partner case workers and other service providers (in particular with the GBVIMS task team members) to work collaboratively for a quality survivor-centered response and information management system.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 1 year of experience needed in the field of data management. Professional experience in GBVIMS is desirable, not essential
∎ Education in women' studies, law, social work, social sciences, information management and other relevant field or work experience
∎ Advanced excel abilities.
∎ Experienced in data management software will be highly desirable. Knowledge and experience in GBVIMS basic tools will be preferred.
∎ Experience in GBV programming with a specific focus in GBV case management or supporting women and girl survivors. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients all times is essential.
∎ Experience facilitating trainings and workshops and mentoring others.
∎ Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting.
∎ Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
∎ Excellent communication and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with survivors of all ages, background and diversity.
∎ People who are familiar with local culture and local dialects will get preference
