Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as Garment Technologist/Pattern Maker/Technical or Quality role within the RMG industry; “Working for Customer” experience will be preferred.

Skills: 

• Strong understanding of fabric properties, garment construction, and quality assurance.

• Proficient in technical documentation and reporting.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Job Summary: The Technologist supports the Product Development Center (PDC) by ensuring quality and technical specifications are met throughout the process. This role focuses on pattern making, garment fitting, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders to guarantee sample development performance excellence and sample production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:        

• Pattern Making and Grading: Develop and grade patterns to meet design specifications and production requirements. 
• Sample Development: Oversee the sample development process, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and buyer expectations.        
• Garment FIT Checking: Conduct garment fit checks and make necessary corrections to patterns to achieve the desired fit and quality. 
• Incorporate Buyer Feedback: Integrate buyer comments into sample production to align the final product with customer expectations.
• Production-Friendly Design: Ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability, balancing aesthetics with practical production considerations.
• Fabric Consumption Calculation: Calculate fabric consumption to accurately estimate material requirements for production.
• Marker Planning: Develop marker plans to optimize fabric utilization and minimize waste during cutting.
• Evaluating New Designs: Analyze and evaluate new clothing designs for feasibility and market potential.
• Production Support: Review, evaluate, and approve production processes and samples, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Product Returns Analysis: Analyze product returns and faults to identify areas for improvement in design and production processes. 
• Quality Analysis: Assess quality and performance parameters, providing insights for continuous improvement.
