Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct and monitor physical, chemical, and performance testing of garments, fabrics, trims, and accessories according to buyer requirements and international standards.
Review testing requests and ensure timely submission of samples to internal or third-party laboratories.
Analyze laboratory test reports and provide technical recommendations to merchandising, quality, and production teams.
Follow up on failed test reports and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure compliance with buyer testing protocols, ASTM, AATCC, ISO, EN, and other applicable international standards.
Maintain testing records, reports, and laboratory databases accurately.
Coordinate with nominated testing laboratories (e.g., SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, etc.) for testing schedules and report collection.
Support product development by identifying potential testing risks before bulk production.
Monitor test report validity and ensure all shipments meet buyer compliance requirements.
Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues related to testing failures.
Prepare testing status reports and communicate updates to management and relevant departments.
Stay updated on buyer testing protocols, restricted substance requirements (RSL), and industry regulations.
