Position: Senior Merchandiser (Local Market)

Company: Dress Dhaka

Dress Dhaka is a rapidly growing Bangladeshi brand specializing in baby and children's garments. To strengthen our brand development and expand our nationwide wholesale dealer network, we are looking for a highly experienced, dynamic, and result-oriented Senior Merchandiser dedicated to the Bangladesh local market.

Educational Qualification

• MBA (Master of Business Administration) or equivalent qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage baby and children's apparel collections for the Bangladesh local market.

• Plan and execute merchandising activities based on local market demand and consumer trends.

• Develop and expand dealer and sub-dealer networks across Bangladesh.

• Contribute to brand development, product positioning, and nationwide market expansion.

• Prepare product costing, pricing, and profitability analysis.

• Coordinate sourcing, supply chain, production planning, and product development.

• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify new business opportunities.

• Collect and develop new fashion collections in line with local market requirements.

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and managing local apparel brands in Bangladesh.

• Practical experience in building and managing dealer networks throughout Bangladesh, including district and rural markets.

• Strong experience in apparel design development and collection development for the local market.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a reputed export-oriented garments manufacturing company.

• Strong knowledge of garment costing and pricing.

• Hands-on experience in merchandising, supply chain management, and production coordination.

• Sound knowledge of both local and international sourcing.

• Excellent understanding of the Bangladesh apparel market, consumer demand, and current fashion trends.

• Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and team management skills.
