Experience:
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Garment Technology, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
At least 3–5 years in supervisory/management responsibility in Dry Process.
Experience with international buyers and woven garment wash development will be preferred.
Experience in large-scale washing plants will be an advantage.
B.Sc. in Textile Engineering / Apparel Engineering with relevant experience in woven washing and dry process will be preferred.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Dry Process Production Management
Plan and control daily/weekly dry process production according to shipment requirements.
Ensure production follows approved wash development, recipe, artwork, sample and buyer requirements.
Monitor production achievement against target.
Ensure smooth production flow from washing input to dry process output.
Control bottlenecks, machine utilization and manpower deployment.
Ensure minimum waiting time, rework and unnecessary movement.
Coordinate with Washing, Production, IE, Planning and Quality teams.
B. Process Development
Develop new dry processes according to buyer requirements and fashion trends.
Conduct trials for new styles, fabrics, trims and effects.
Establish standardized process parameters for bulk production.
Ensure bulk production matches approved PP/sample/size-set and buyer standard.
Evaluate alternative processes to reduce cost, processing time and resource consumption.
Maintain approved process standards and technical records.
C. Dry Process Techniques
Ensure proper execution and control of applicable processes, including:
Hand Scraping
Grinding
Whiskering
3D / 3D Crinkle Effect
Tacking
Resin / Chemical Effect
Spray Effect
Brush Effect
Destroy / Vintage Effect
Sanding
Localized Abrasion
Laser Effect / Laser Coordination
PP Spray / Alternative Effect, where applicable
Special Buyer-Specific Effects
D. Quality Management
Ensure first-time-right production.
Monitor appearance, shade, hand feel and dimensional requirements.
Identify process-related defects and implement corrective actions.
Reduce defects such as:
Uneven scraping
Over/under grinding
Wrong whisker placement
Shade variation
Patchy effect
Excessive abrasion
Measurement variation
Chemical marks
Unapproved appearance
Rework and rejection
Coordinate with Quality and Washing QA teams for root-cause analysis.
Ensure approved standards are maintained throughout bulk production.
E. Productivity & Efficiency
Establish realistic SMV/MH and productivity standards for dry processes in coordination with IE.
Monitor operator efficiency and machine productivity.
Analyze hourly production performance.
Improve manpower utilization.
Reduce idle time and process waiting time.
Improve line/process balancing.
Drive continuous improvement using PDCA, Kaizen, 5S, 5 Why and Root Cause Analysis.
Achieve maximum productivity and efficiency without compromising quality.
F. Manpower Management
Prepare manpower requirements based on production load.
Ensure proper allocation of skilled operators.
Identify skill gaps and arrange training.
Develop multi-skilled operators.
Monitor operator performance and attendance.
Maintain discipline and effective team communication.
Develop supervisors and line leaders for future leadership requirements.
G. Cost Control
Control dry process cost per garment.
Reduce excessive labor hours, rework and rejection.
Optimize chemical/material consumption where applicable.
Reduce unnecessary process steps.
Monitor machine and equipment utilization.
Support management in achieving the approved washing cost target.
H. Machine & Equipment Management
Ensure proper utilization of dry process machines and equipment.
Coordinate preventive maintenance with Engineering/Maintenance.
Report machine breakdowns immediately.
Monitor machine performance and downtime.
Recommend new machinery/technology where it improves quality, productivity or cost.
Ensure operators follow machine operating standards.

Control dust, chemical exposure and other occupational hazards.
Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S.
Ensure compliance with company, buyer and regulatory requirements.
Support environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Ensure safe storage and handling of chemicals/materials where applicable.

4. Authority
The position will have authority to:
Allocate manpower within the dry process section.
Adjust operational priorities based on approved production plans.
Stop or hold production when a serious quality/process deviation is identified.
Recommend process modification after technical evaluation.
Recommend operator training and skill development.
Escalate machine, quality, safety and production issues to management.
Recommend disciplinary action for repeated operational non-compliance according to company policy.
