Experience:
Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
Relevant professional certification/training in Social Compliance, Labour Law, Ethical Trade, Better Work, RSC/Nirapon, or Sustainability will be preferred.
Experience in handling multiple factories will be an advantage.
Strong practical knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Law and Labour Rules is essential.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the factory’s Social, Ethical, Environmental, Health & Safety, and Compliance Management Systems.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law, Labour Rules, RSC/Nirapon requirements, buyer codes of conduct, and applicable international standards.
Lead and coordinate customer/buyer audits, third-party audits, certification audits, Better Work assessments, and social compliance assessments.
Prepare, review, and implement Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and ensure timely closure and effectiveness of identified findings.
Conduct cross-functional internal compliance audits across sister factories, identifying gaps, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring timely closure of all findings.
Monitor factory compliance performance through regular internal audits, workplace inspections, risk assessments, and management reviews.
Ensure proper implementation of policies and procedures related to working hours, wages & benefits, recruitment, appointment, leave, maternity benefits, grievance mechanisms, disciplinary procedures, and worker welfare.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective compliance implementation.
Maintain, review, and update compliance documentation, legal registers, licenses, certificates, permits, records, policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Conduct worker and management training and awareness programs on labour standards, workplace safety, Code of Conduct, worker rights, grievance mechanisms, ethical requirements, and customer-specific compliance requirements.
Monitor occupational health & safety, chemical, environmental, and emergency preparedness requirements.
Manage worker grievance mechanisms and ensure appropriate investigation, corrective action, and follow-up.
Keep the management informed about changes in labour laws, buyer requirements, industry standards, and compliance risks.
Lead, guide, and develop the Compliance Team, ensuring effective performance, accountability, teamwork, and continuous professional development.
Promote a strong compliance culture and continuous improvement mindset throughout the factory and ensure that compliance requirements are effectively integrated into day-to-day operations.
