Responsibilities & Context:

Field Assistant/ Para counselor will support to beneficiaries to improve their emotional and mental health issues i.e, well‐being, alleviate feelings of distress and resolve crisis. In addition, they will also offer guidance to caregivers, individuals, couples, families and groups who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being to ensure smooth implementation of the project.

  • Conduct Individual and group psychosocial support session

  • Identify children with psychological distress and ensure timely referral to specialized mental health services

  • Follow up mother volunteers’ session and daily activity

  • Work closely with child protection caseworkers and mother volunteers to develop care and safety plans for children

  • Visit Humanitarian Play Lab and Govt. Primary Schools and provide support to learners, teachers, caregivers and community people

  • Conduct SRHR, safety and hygiene care session for adolescents

  • Engaged children with Playing and story-telling for their healing

  • Conduct self-care session of pregnant mothers

  • Conduct door to door visit to raise Community awareness

  • Support Case management unit to identify and refer case

  • Capacity development for Play Leaders, Mother volunteers, Father Volunteers and other staff

  • Participate in the refreshers training for capacity development

  • Prepare & submit daily report to the relevant authority regarding center activities

  • Disseminate different life skill messages to the beneficiaries

  • Arrange monthly, quarterly meeting with community and beneficiary

  • Maintain record and update day-to-day status of beneficiary and center

  • Build positive and effective relationship with the beneficiary and community people

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
