Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Through home to home visit identify and registration of children and adolescent for the child protection services i.e. LSBE, PSS, adolescent and community led activities
∎ Centre based and home based LSBE, PSS, social cohesion and resilience session and other curriculum-based session conduction and regular home visit
∎ Maintain attendance and follow-up the activity with the children and adolescent regular basis
∎ Conduct monthly meeting as well as ad-hoc basis meeting with youth group and adolescent group as well as CBCPC member and take proactive role to reinforce the child protection activities
∎ Build up the awareness for the children regarding the protection and self-care
∎ Develop the capacity of the Volunteer who is working inside the Multi-purpose child and adolescent centre and outside the centre or other assigned centre
∎ Timely reporting to the relevant authority regarding the activities
∎ Recording and reporting the day-to-day status of the children and the drop-in care center
∎ Ensure all child protection initiatives align with BRAC’s policies and procedures
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ In order to successfully implement the child protection service, the field assistant is responsible to conduct session on life skills based session (LSBE), PSS session, out-reach based adolescent engagement activities. In order to that ensuring adequate services, this position will regularly connect with the children and adolescent as well as community.
