Education:
    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Industrial Eng & Production

  • Diploma/Certification in Factory Operations, Lean Production, or Handicrafts/Artisan Factory Operation Management.

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in managing handicraft or light manufacturing units, preferably for export-oriented production. 
  • Prior experience with natural fiber-based product manufacturing and team handling in factory settings is required. 
  • Experience working with ethical trade organizations, fair trade buyers, or global craft export brands is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of handicraft production processes, including weaving, dyeing, cutting, stitching, carving, and finishing. 
  • Hands-on experience with natural materials: jute, cane, bamboo, hogla, seagrass, coir, palm leaves, and traditional textiles. 
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate with both skilled artisans and administrative teams. 
  • Familiarity with quality control tools, production scheduling, and lean manufacturing practices in a small or medium-scale craft-based unit. 
  • Good understanding of export packaging, buyer specifications, labeling norms, and sustainability requirements. 
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and production/inventory tracking software. 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), preferably in both English and Bangla. 
  • Knowledge of export documentation and coordination with logistics teams is a strong plus.


Responsibilities & Context:
  • Oversee end-to-end factory operations for the production of handicraft goods, ensuring timely manufacturing, quality control, and compliance with export standards.
  • Coordinate with the marketing and export teams to align production schedules with international order requirements (B2B/B2C, Amazon, Etsy, etc.).
  • Ensure effective raw material sourcing, inventory management, and optimum utilization of natural fibers and other handicraft materials such as jute, bamboo, cane, hogla, seagrass, etc.
  • Supervise production line workers, artisans, and supervisors to maintain efficiency, craftsmanship, and consistency in design.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure final products meet global buyer standards and certifications.
  • Monitor and maintain production documentation, including work orders, stock registers, packing lists, and order tracking for export.
  • Manage the packaging and labeling process to ensure export-ready presentation, brand alignment, and compliance with international shipment requirements.
  • Liaise with logistics, warehouse, and export departments to ensure on-time delivery, proper storage, and accurate documentation (LC, COO, commercial invoice, HS code, etc.).
  • Oversee factory compliance, health & safety standards, labor laws, and fair working conditions in alignment with ethical and sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with product designers, artisans, and development teams to introduce new designs, improve production techniques, and adopt modern tools when needed.
  • Monitor factory KPIs (production volume, defect rate, lead time) and report monthly operational performance to top management.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives (barcode system, inventory software, basic ERP/CRM integration).
