JOB SUMMARY

We are an export-oriented Bangladeshi food processing company specializing in sauces, pickles, and spice powders, supplying to international markets including the EU, US, Middle East, and beyond. Our company is looking for a hands-on Factory Assistant Manager to run the facility on a day-to-day basis, supervise all department heads, and report directly to management remotely.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the single point of accountability for the entire factory, running operations with minimal on-site supervision from management

• Supervise and coordinate all department heads (Production, QC, Store, Maintenance, Security, Admin), resolving cross-department conflicts and ensuring alignment

• Serve as management's on-ground representative — liaise with government/regulatory bodies in management's absence

• Provide structured daily/weekly reports to management (production, stock, discipline, incidents, financials) via phone/email/video call

• Ensure discipline, attendance, and code-of-conduct compliance among all factory staff and workers

• Maintain plant-wide cleanliness and hygiene standards (production floor, washrooms, canteen, common areas) in line with food safety requirements

• Manage store/inventory operations — raw material and finished goods stock, stock reconciliation, FIFO practices, and preventing pilferage or wastage

• Maintain and monitor compliance with HACCP, ISO, and other export food safety certifications across all factory areas

• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality control (QC/QA) protocols

• Monitor production output, costs, and efficiency; flag and resolve bottlenecks

• Ensure compliance with local labor law, fire safety, and environmental regulations

• Handle workplace discipline issues, grievances, and enforce factory rules and SOPs

• Supervise housekeeping, pest control, and maintenance schedules for the facility

• Liaise with certification bodies and auditors during inspections/audits

• Recruit, train, and manage performance of department heads and factory workers
