We are seeking seeking an experienced, hands-on and results-oriented Senior Officer – Agriculture to oversee agricultural and livestock operations, ensure operational efficiency, strengthen productivity and contribute to the sustainable growth of our agro-business initiatives.
The ideal candidate will combine strong agricultural/livestock expertise, farm management capability, team leadership and commercial understanding to deliver measurable operational and business results.
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of farm operations, livestock production, nutrition, health and support teams, ensuring effective workforce deployment.
Oversee cattle health, vaccination, deworming, breeding and artificial insemination programs, including special care and monitoring of sick livestock.
Monitor feed preparation, ration quality and quantity, and manage timely procurement of feed, medicines and essential farm inputs.
Supervise fodder/grass cultivation, including land preparation, fertilization, irrigation, harvesting and silage production to ensure year-round feed security.
Monitor milk production, quality, packaging, pricing and distribution, while overseeing cattle purchase and sales operations with a focus on profitability.
Identify and support new agro-business opportunities, including dairy, fodder, organic farming and related agricultural ventures.
Build and maintain effective relationships with buyers, suppliers and business partners to strengthen commercial operations and market reach.
Maintain accurate records of milk production, livestock health, breeding, feed consumption, inventory and operational expenses, and prepare regular management reports.
Ensure proper maintenance of farm infrastructure, machinery, utilities and operational facilities, while maintaining strict biosecurity and occupational safety standards.
Support the planning, relocation and expansion of farm operations, including establishment of new agricultural projects/sectors.
Identify operational challenges, implement corrective measures and continuously improve productivity, cost efficiency, quality and farm performance.
Perform any other duties assigned by the In-Charge or Appropriate Authority from time to time.
