Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive, transparent, and detail-oriented Executive – Supply Chain to manage procurement, supplier coordination, inventory planning, and material delivery for our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong negotiation skills, ethical work practices, accountability, and the ability to work effectively in any situation. Knowledge of plastic raw materials (PP, PET, HDPE, LDPE, Masterbatch, etc.) and hands-on experience in vendor management and purchase operations is essential.

 Key Responsibilities

Supplier Management & Procurement

  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, packaging items, machinery parts, and services.
  • Collect quotations, compare prices, and negotiate effectively to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) accurately in line with company policies.
  • Cross-check technical specifications with Production/Maintenance teams and suppliers.
  • Maintain transparent communication and strong liaison with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Follow up with suppliers to prevent delays and avoid production disruptions.
  • Ensure proper knowledge and understanding of the complete procurement cycle.

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure smooth materials replenishment.
  • Conduct weekly inventory reviews and stock reconciliations with the Store department.
  • Track consumption of raw materials, masterbatch, additives, and packaging items.
  • Keep updated and accurate records of purchases, supplier performance, and pricing.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with Production, Store, Quality, and Accounts departments for smooth operations.
  • Ensure all purchased items meet quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Handle returns, replacements, and supply-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain transparency and accuracy in documentation, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Cost, Quality & Compliance

  • Monitor market prices and support cost-control initiatives.
  • Ensure strong ethics, confidentiality, and integrity in procurement activities.
  • Support quality checks of incoming materials in coordination with the Quality team.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with company goals and objectives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support automation and technological improvements within the supply chain.
  • Participate in monthly/bi-monthly meetings to share insights and updates.
  • Manage distributor/transport issues and maintain clear communication.
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and the ability to work efficiently under pressure and in any situation.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by Management.
