Responsibilities & Context:
Frequently visit ghats and depots to identify operational issues and resolve transport-related problems promptly.
Monitor vehicle operations, driver availability, workshop activities, and vehicle utilization at ghats and depots to improve delivery quantity and trip frequency.
Plan and implement overall transport operations to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery.
Manage daily transport activities, including route planning, vehicle scheduling, dispatching, and real-time tracking.
Ensure the availability, proper utilization, and maintenance of transport resources, including vehicles, drivers, and related assets.
Supervise and guide the transport team, drivers, and helpers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Monitor and enhance delivery performance, vehicle productivity, trip frequency, and operational efficiency.
Prepare and analyze regular reports on KPIs, operational costs, vehicle utilization, delivery performance, productivity, and trip frequency.
Coordinate effectively with internal departments, sales teams, customers, ghat/depot in-charges, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation and delivery operations.
Monitor transportation challenges and take timely corrective actions to minimize delays, downtime, and operational disruptions.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and other operational reports as required by management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, safety standards, and transportation guidelines.
