Responsibilities & Context:
  • Frequently visit ghats and depots to identify operational issues and resolve transport-related problems promptly.

  • Monitor vehicle operations, driver availability, workshop activities, and vehicle utilization at ghats and depots to improve delivery quantity and trip frequency.

  • Plan and implement overall transport operations to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery.

  • Manage daily transport activities, including route planning, vehicle scheduling, dispatching, and real-time tracking.

  • Ensure the availability, proper utilization, and maintenance of transport resources, including vehicles, drivers, and related assets.

  • Supervise and guide the transport team, drivers, and helpers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

  • Monitor and enhance delivery performance, vehicle productivity, trip frequency, and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare and analyze regular reports on KPIs, operational costs, vehicle utilization, delivery performance, productivity, and trip frequency.

  • Coordinate effectively with internal departments, sales teams, customers, ghat/depot in-charges, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation and delivery operations.

  • Monitor transportation challenges and take timely corrective actions to minimize delays, downtime, and operational disruptions.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and other operational reports as required by management.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, safety standards, and transportation guidelines.
