Job Context:
Fresh SuperMart, a retail chain under Meghna Group of Industries, is set to operate outlets at metro rail stations. The Executive/ Senior Executive – Demand Planning uses sales data, trends, and store feedback to forecast product demand and support procurement and distribution teams with accurate planning.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze historical sales, POS data, and footfall trends to create accurate demand forecasts by applying appropriate forecasting techniques.
Monitor inventory levels across metro outlets to prevent stock-outs by reviewing stock dashboards and initiating replenishment requests.
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to align supply and demand by sharing forecast insights and upcoming requirements.
Update demand plans regularly to respond to real-time changes by tracking fast-moving SKUs and sales fluctuations.
Recommend order quantities to optimize inventory by balancing minimum stock levels, safety stock, and shelf capacity.
Identify SKU performance patterns to support better planning by analyzing slow-moving or high-demand items.
Generate daily/weekly demand reports to support decision-making by sharing clear insights with management.
Resolve planning gaps to maintain store availability by coordinating across departments and adjusting forecasts accordingly.
