• Strong analytical skills to forecast SKU-wise demand based on sales patterns, seasonal trends, and outlet footfall.

• Ability to convert POS sales data into actionable demand plans.

• Proficiency in Excel, forecasting models, and ERP systems for inventory planning.

• Good understanding of FMCG replenishment cycles, minimum stock levels, and safety stock calculation.

• Strong collaboration skills to align with procurement, warehouse, and retail operations for optimal stock availability.

• High attention to detail to avoid stock-outs of fast-moving items or overstock of low-moving items.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing demand environment, especially during peak metro hours.

Job Context:

Fresh SuperMart, a retail chain under Meghna Group of Industries, is set to operate outlets at metro rail stations. The Executive/ Senior Executive – Demand Planning uses sales data, trends, and store feedback to forecast product demand and support procurement and distribution teams with accurate planning.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical sales, POS data, and footfall trends to create accurate demand forecasts by applying appropriate forecasting techniques.

• Monitor inventory levels across metro outlets to prevent stock-outs by reviewing stock dashboards and initiating replenishment requests.

• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to align supply and demand by sharing forecast insights and upcoming requirements.

• Update demand plans regularly to respond to real-time changes by tracking fast-moving SKUs and sales fluctuations.

• Recommend order quantities to optimize inventory by balancing minimum stock levels, safety stock, and shelf capacity.

• Identify SKU performance patterns to support better planning by analyzing slow-moving or high-demand items.

• Generate daily/weekly demand reports to support decision-making by sharing clear insights with management.

• Resolve planning gaps to maintain store availability by coordinating across departments and adjusting forecasts accordingly.
