Responsibilities & Context:
• Plant Operations Management:
o Oversee day-to-day operations of the recycling plant, ensuring machinery and equipment are operating at peak efficiency.
o Coordinate with plant staff to optimize plant processes and troubleshoot any operational issues.
o Ensure the safe and proper use of all equipment and machinery in the plant.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
o Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
o Perform regular inspections and audits of plant equipment and processes.
o Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues within the plant systems.
• Process Optimization & Improvements:
o Analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement.
o Suggest and implement technological advancements or process modifications to increase recycling efficiency and reduce costs.
o Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
• Safety & Compliance:
o Ensure the plant is operating in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
o Develop and maintain safety protocols and conduct training for staff on safe operations.
o Conduct regular risk assessments and make necessary adjustments to minimize safety hazards.
• Project Management:
o Lead or support engineering projects related to plant upgrades, new installations, or process improvements.
o Work with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers as necessary.
o Maintain documentation for all plant modifications, projects, and maintenance activities.
• Reporting & Documentation:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of plant operations, maintenance logs, and performance metrics.
o Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, equipment status, and any issues that require attention.
