Meghna Hotel and Resorts Limited (MHRL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) is going to build a country-leading Five Star Hotel & Resorts and Commercial Building with aesthetic and state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Dhaka City, Bangladesh. Currently, MGI is seeking a qualified MEP Engineer to oversee the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. This incumbent will play a pivotal role in this groundbreaking project, ensuring its successful realization from initiation to completion. The MEP Engineer will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of the MEP construction process, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and timeliness throughout the project lifecycle. The position will report to the Project Manager of MHRL.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all on-site MEP activities encompassing mechanical, electrical, IT, and plumbing installations to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines, seamless integration and functionality of building systems.
Evaluate project plans, specifications, and design documents to verify alignment with pertinent codes, regulations, and standards, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to quality benchmarks.
Coordinate with structural and electrical engineers to review contractor’s mechanical shop drawings to facilitate engineering coordination and advising the project in-charge accordingly.
Facilitate coordination among project manager, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of MEP works, fostering efficient project progress and alignment with established objectives.
Develop and oversee project schedules, ensuring timely completion of MEP activities and proactively resolving any delays or conflicts to maintain project timeline integrity.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality of MEP installations, promptly identifying and addressing any issues or deficiencies to uphold project standards and ensure optimal functionality.
Attend on-site piped system pressure tests, air conditioning duct leakage testing, and other required tests during the first fix works, providing observations and recommendations to the Project Director to ensure compliance with standards and quality assurance.
Manage and oversee project costs associated with MEP works, encompassing material procurement, labor, and equipment, to ensure effective budget control and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
Engage with the design team to evaluate and incorporate MEP design alterations and adjustments when needed, promoting project flexibility and alignment with evolving requirements.
Monitor and enforce compliance with on-site health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a secure workplace and minimize potential risks or environmental impacts.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to MEP activities, including drawings, specifications, progress reports, and as-built records to ensure accurate record-keeping and facilitating comprehensive project documentation.
