Additional Requirements: - Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a hospitality or facilities maintenance environment (preferred).
- Proven experience in property maintenance with strong problem-solving capabilities·
- Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style·
- Strong understanding of HVAC, MEP, and fire protection systems.
- Computer skill and Advance Knowledge about Microsoft Office usage.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IEB member will get preference.
Responsibilities & Context: - Assist the Chief Engineer with the maintenance and repair of various mechanical systems, including:
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systemso Fire
- protection systems.
- Kitchen equipment
- Laundry equipment.
- Elevator & Escalator.
- Generator.
- Pool equipment
- FAC’s.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with established procedures.·
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints regarding mechanical issues.·
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical problems.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance reports and logs.·
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies related to mechanical engineering in hospitality settings.
- Participate in safety training programs and adhere to all safety protocols.
- May assist with minor electrical and carpentry tasks as needed.
- Organize and set up preventive maintenance programmes for all electrical and mechanical equipment including general building works.
- Assign tasks according to the instructions of the Chief Engineer/Engineering manager, follow-up with and guiding the completion of tasks, ensuring good handover between teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Regularly check the operation of the machine room, related systems and equipment, and give timely feedback.
- Advise on equipment and operating procedures in terms of energy efficiency.
- Responsible for the administrative work within the team, keeping records of employee attendance and daily performance, recording and filing the maintenance policies involved in the shift.
- Manage the system's materials, staff borrowing tools as well as the registration and storage system of receiving materials.·
- Coordinate the work schedule of the Contractor according to the maintenance plan.·
- Supervise and inspect the safe operation of equipment in all departments and prevent violations.·
- Responsible for training employees to improve working skills, enabling them to work with maximum efficiency.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel·
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned·
- Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations·
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands adaptability, excellence, time and energy·
- Capital budgeting over the asset life cycle·
- Operational budgeting for asset portfolio including preventative, emergency, and reactive maintenance over asset life cycle·
- Subject matter expert and technical lead for Mechanical / HVAC Assets to drive continuous improvement in asset utilization, life-cycle cost, operational efficiencies and energy efficient management.
- Represents the hotel as the Responsible Business/Sustainability champion with immense focus on sustainability related initiatives, practices, competitions·
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders·
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be self-motivated, ability to develop innovative options and works well under pressure.
- An eye for detail and the ability to effectively deal with all maintenance issues.
