Experience Requirements

  • 12–15 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance within the RMG or Textile industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior managerial role.
  • Proven experience in maintenance of garment and textile machinery, utilities, and engineering projects.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
  • Expertise in utility management, mechanical maintenance, and factory engineering.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and energy management practices.
  • Good communication, reporting, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Mechanical Engineering & Maintenance Department for garment and textile operations.
  • Ensure preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all production and utility machinery.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of sewing, knitting, dyeing, printing, embroidery, boiler, generator, compressor, ETP/WTP, HVAC, and utility equipment.
  • Develop annual and monthly preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and optimize maintenance costs without affecting production.
  • Ensure uninterrupted utility services, including boilers, generators, compressors, substations, and air-conditioning systems.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with factory safety standards, environmental regulations, and buyer compliance requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams while coordinating with Production, Quality, and Compliance departments.
  • Prepare engineering reports, maintenance KPIs, budgets, and improvement plans for management.
