Job Purpose

The District Manager will be responsible for implementing the Retail Sales project and improving the financial status in the assigned area. Coordination with local Government and relevant stakeholders at district level for smooth implementation of the project. Supervision, Monitoring, and Evaluation of project activities according to plan and providing assistance and recommendations to field staff for improvement of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure capacity development of field-level staff by organizing training, providing ongoing guidance, and enabling them to effectively implement project activities as per organizational standards.

  • Coordinate the timely initiation of monthly training batches by aligning with project targets and ensuring the selection of eligible learners and employers for quality apprenticeship implementation.

  • Organize and conduct boot camps and sensitization workshops for parents to enhance community awareness and increase learner support, especially for female participants.

  • Monitor and ensure a minimum of 95% learner attendance at workplace-based apprenticeship classes by conducting regular follow-ups and resolving attendance-related issues promptly.

  • Facilitate meaningful job placement for graduates by building strong linkages with retail brands, business owners, and other stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with learners’ skills and career goals.

  • Collect, compile, and submit monthly MIS data from team members and reporting portals by maintaining regular communication and ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor activity implementation, review staff performance, and provide feedback to improve compliance, engagement, and target achievement.

  • Ensure operational efficiency by distributing human resources based on program needs, supporting subordinates with necessary logistics, and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and organizational standards.

  • Communicate with local administration, line management, and field staff to implement program decisions, address complaints, and resolve operational issues effectively and promptly

 Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation in any discipline from any reputed university

Experience Requirement:

3-4 years of working experience in a managerial position or in a development sector
