Education:
    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management
    • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant discipline

  • Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCM, PGDSCM, CIPS or equivalent) is mandatory

  • Master’s Degree will be considered an added advantage

Additional Requirements:
  • At-least 10 years of progressive experience in Procurement / Inbound Supply Chain functions

  • At least 3–4 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment

  • Proven experience in driving process improvements, cost optimization, and supplier performance enhancement



Responsibilities & Context:

1. Strategic Procurement & Inbound Supply Chain Planning

  • Assist in procurement planning in close coordination with Production, Planning, and Commercial teams

  • Translate demand forecasts into efficient sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted material availability

  • Support the Head of Supply Chain in identifying gaps and implementing improvements in inbound supply chain processes

2. Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Governance

  • Supplier sourcing, evaluation, onboarding, and rationalization initiatives

  • Establish and maintain a robust Approved Vendor List (AVL) aligned with company standards

  • Develop supplier performance management systems, KPIs, and periodic review mechanisms

3. Purchase Order & Contract Management

  • Oversee end-to-end Purchase Order and contract management processes

  • Ensure alignment of pricing, delivery schedules, quality standards, and payment terms

  • Ensure timely follow-up with suppliers to meet delivery and service commitments

4. Cost Control, Negotiation & Value Creation

  • Strategic negotiations with key suppliers for pricing, payment terms, and service levels

  • Identify and implement cost-saving, alternative sourcing, and value-engineering initiatives

  • Support budget planning, cost analysis, and procurement spend optimization

5. Compliance, Documentation & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, VAT, Customs, audit, and regulatory requirements

  • Strengthen procurement documentation, controls, and audit readiness

  • Identify and mitigate supply, commercial, and compliance-related risks

6. Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with Accounts, Quality Control, Stores, Production, and external partners to ensure smooth inbound operations

  • Monitor inbound shipments and proactively manage delays, discrepancies, or supply risks

7. Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure supplier compliance with defined quality standards and specifications

  • Support Quality Control in managing non-conforming materials, corrective actions, and supplier improvements

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and inbound supply chain processes

8. Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Guide, mentor, and supervise procurement and inbound supply chain team members

  • Support the Head of Supply Chain in building a performance-driven, compliant, and improvement-focused team

 

Key Technical Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in sourcing, vendor management, negotiation, and contract handling

  • In-depth knowledge of local suppliers for Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Engineering Spares, and services

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
