  • Proven experience in audit processes, financial reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and overall financial transactions with accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include processing vendor and staff payments, ensuring adherence to tax, VAT, and Bangladesh Bank regulations, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in the ERP system. The role also oversees bank and vendor reconciliations, supports audit activities, and ensures timely financial reporting. By doing so, the position contributes to effective financial management, transparency, and full regulatory compliance within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and record LC-related bills, vouchers, and other financial transactions in the ERP system.

  • Process timely and accurate payments to vendors and staff, including LC settlements, office rent, advances, and foreign currency disbursements.

  • Monitor and maintain accounts payable, vendor files, and recurring invoices, ensuring correct posting and expense amortization.

  • Perform daily and month-end closing activities in the ERP system in alignment with financial checklists.

  • Ensure strict compliance with AIT, VAT, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, and all other relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and submit audit documentation, liaise with internal and external auditors, and implement recommended corrective measures.

  • Oversee vendor account creation, manage vendor queries, and track, analyze, and report on expenditures and commitments.

  • Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in the ERP system.

  • Monitor and record accounts receivable transactions while supporting financial close processes through required documentation and reporting.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
