Education:
∎ Bachelor/Master degree in Law/Criminology/Journalism/Social Science or any other relevant subject from any reputed public or private university or Institution.

∎ Experience in inquiry or handling of disciplinary cases will be given preference
∎ Must have knowledge in Safeguarding, PSHEA, HR policy & procedures, National and International law
∎ Must have good verbal and written communication skills, interviewing skill, MS office and IT
∎ Must have Interpersonal communication skill, Team building capacity and able to work under pressure

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare inquiry plan for conducting effective inquiry, i.e. Study the assigned complaint letter with assessing the risk, documents/evidence, develop checklist, and prepare questionnaires with probable list of interviewees
∎ Communicate with respective person/management for getting necessary support during inquiry
∎ Conduct inquiry and prima facie following the inquiry procedure and guideline/SOP/HRPP and all associate policies by maintaining confidentiality to find out the actual fact
∎ Conclude the inquiry by collecting statement of relevant witnesses and evidence/documents for maintaining the objectivity of inquiry
∎ Prepare draft inquiry report and send it to review team for conducting the review hearing session
∎ Prepare show cause notice as per findings and assist review team to send the show cause letter/review hearing notice to the subject of complaint for ensuring the right of hearing
∎ Submit final report to respective Manager within stipulated time by maintaining quality for presenting in the SGMC forum
∎ Attend SGMC forum and actively present inquiry findings with evidence/documents for taking proper decision by the forum members
∎ Play a significant role for successful conduction of Ombudsperson’s hearing
∎ Review inquiry report of others on need basis for assisting the team manager to ensure submission of the report on time
∎ Prepare a summary of the inquiry report based on the needs of the respective donor
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ Conduct the overall functions of investigation of different programs complying with BRAC Inquiry Guidelines/SOP, BRAC HRPP including safeguarding and PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) related complaints for Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme (HCMP) to produce qualitative reports, maintaining BRAC values for achieving organizational objectives
