Responsibilities & Context: BRAC Migration Programme is working towards the goal to reduce exploitation in all forms of migration and to support migrants and returnees so that they can contribute to the development of the country and abroad. With the objectives to ensure safe, orderly, skilled, and responsible migration both internally and internationally, to reduce all forms of trafficking-in-persons and smuggling of migrants and to provide Immediate Assistance and to ensure the well-being of returnees, trafficking survivors, and their family members through sustainable reintegration, BRAC Migration Programme has been working on migration issues to enhance the conditions of the large workforce through supporting them in several stages of migration over the last 18 years.
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for developing and implementing digitalized data system and ensure data accuracy and security. Also assist in data collection from online systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the local team for software installation and upgradation in the devices.
- Manage the supply chain of devices, software, and accessories through communicating with the local office, Head office and vendors
- Regular communication to manage the vendor to carry out smoothly and effectively the digitalization work of the Migration Programme
- Coordination with the BRAC technology department, vendor and others to carry out the digitalization work of the Migration Programme
- Ensure smooth functioning of the devices by troubleshooting for software and hardware.
- Facilitate refresher sessions in monthly meetings on new knowledge and skills required for the upgradation and usability of the system.
- Prepare & share reports as per programme needs.
- Promote a culture of data protection and compliance in the migration programme.
- Ensure that beneficiaries data protection are in compliance with codes of practice such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
