Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain budget and PR tracking in line with approved project budget
∎ Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures
∎ Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year
∎ Ensure that all financial reporting is completed on time and supported the programme in successful submission of the report to donors
∎ Facilitate financial audits of the project and take action according to audit findings
∎ Ensure proper documentation reviews of all PR requests and contact with PM, and related colleagues e.g. DPMs, ATS for budgetary issues
∎ Analyze and explain variances between forecasts, budget, and actual spent or/and unspent amounts and prepare report
∎ Provides technical guidance on budget development for new grant proposals
∎ Notifies program team of any significant budget changes that require donor approval and recommends necessary communications
∎ Continuous communication with procurement dept. and finance dept. on project budgetary and purchase issues
∎ Trains and informs existing and new staff on budget procedures, making sure that they are understood and adhered to according to each donor’s requirements, also keeping everyone updated on any changes to these
∎ Ensure all child protection initiatives align with BRAC’s policies and procedures
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ This Position will be responsible for analyzing financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization. In order to successfully implement of the child protection activities and ensuring the monitoring of programme budget, the Deputy Manger- Budget Monitoring will also be responsible for monitoring & tracking the budget, ensure financial compliance, develop financial report, program activity monitoring and provide suggestion. Moreover, S/he will also involve in providing the guidance for program planning and implementation that align of the budget, analysis etc. This position will also participate the cash disbursement system and provide support to the entire project.
