Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc)
∎ Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering or related field from any reputed university.
∎ MCSE/MCSA certifications preferred
∎ Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
∎ Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)
∎ Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: MCSE,MCSA,Oracle Certified
∎ Skills Required: Mongo DB, MS SQL Server , Oracle Database, RDBMS like Oracle, SQL

Job Context:
∎ The database administration role needs a strong?information technology?foundation in database structure, configuration, installation and practice.
∎ Evaluate and implement products to improve existing database solutions (Improve efficiency, performance and reduce cost)
∎ Providing with leadership on database architectural design of both existing and new systems, database administration, performance monitoring tuning, troubleshooting problems and expansion
∎ Planning and monitoring the growth of Database
∎ Ensure performance, security, troubleshooting and maintain a good communication with the IT team
∎ Extracting, Loading and authenticating data
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintaining , monitoring and managing company database
∎ Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users
∎ Consider both back end organization of data and front-end accessibility for the end-users
∎ Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity, stability and security
∎ Maintain backup and recovery structure of the database
∎ Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
∎ Commission and install new applications and customize existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose
∎ Tuning and monitoring database performance ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
∎ Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors and Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently
∎ Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
∎ Creating and maintaining schema objects: tables, indexes, views, sequences etc.
∎ Hands on experience in tuning and troubleshooting
∎ Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting database servers
∎ Knowledge of Relational databases including Oracle or SQL server and PostgreSQL.
∎ Strong technical/analytical skills, trouble shooting & problem solving skills.
∎ PL/ SQL programming, catalog navigation, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery knowledge is needed.
∎ Advanced education and certifications are required to work as a database administrator. Obtaining a certification specializing in various database management systems is a bonus
