  • Must be a recent graduate from any relevant discipline from any university.

  • Experience candidates will get preference.

  • Must be from any marginalized community like persons with disability, dalit, horizon, Adivasi, climate-affected community, etc will get preference.

  • Should have good research, writing, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in the use of computer/laptop and Microsoft Office apps.

  • Proficiency in Bangla and English language.



Responsibilities & Context:

Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) is searching for students and recent graduates from marginalized communities of all academic areas to obtain practical experience with the Social Justice and Inclusion Cluster (SJI Cluster), BLAST. This initiative seeks to provide young individuals with possibilities to contribute to creating a better society for everyone on earth and an insightful fellowship experience that will help them grow academically, professionally, and personally.

Key Responsibilities:     

  • Identify the specific challenges and prejudices encountered by their respective communities, encompassing potential instances of discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, language, or a confluence of these factors.·      

  • Collaborating with BLAST (especially with the Social Justice & Inclusion cluster and Our Voice Our Future project) to run advocacy efforts and build movements to tackle these identified issues.

  • Facilitating BLAST`s issue-raising workshops with different communities, and developing comprehensive reports based on the findings of the issue-raising workshops.

  • Serving as a powerful voice for their communities, particularly those facing the most significant challenges, in various forums dedicated to dialogue, knowledge exchange, and concrete action, both online and offline.

  • Engaging in advocacy with relevant stakeholders to effect positive change.

  • Submitting a comprehensive report after the fellowship, detailing their work and its impact.
