Job Context:
∎ More than 745,000 Rohingyas have fled from Myanmar since August 2017 and are now in camps in Bangladesh. In Cox`s Bazar, the needs of the refugee families are enormous. Tdh provides services of primary health care for the most vulnerable people and fights against malnutrition. We distribute hygiene supplies, construct latrines and wells, and treat the water to make it drinkable. In order to give a comprehensive response to the needs of the Rohingya children, we aid the most vulnerable with community-based child protection, psychosocial support and case management.
∎ The CB Team Leader supervises CB Officers in order to support host and refugee communities and empowers them to prevent, mitigate and address child protection risks in their communities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Analyze the results of community structures mapping and provide inputs and guidance to the team on who and how to engage at the community level.
∎ Ensure that vulnerable groups and positive role models are identified and engaged
∎ Oversee the establishment or support to existing structures by ensuring inclusive outreach and mobilization.
∎ Review community-based groups membership selection criteria to ensure gender, age and disability inclusion and fair representation.
∎ Review community-based groups mandates to ensure alignment with CP priorities.
∎ Support the team and community to identify adequate phase-out strategies for Tdh, with a focus on linkages to local government.
∎ Review CP risks assessment to ensure they are inclusive, representative of community priorities and have an age, gender, and disability lens.
∎ Review community action plans and provide technical support on implementing them
∎ Ensure full ownership and participation throughout the process by the community
∎ Roll-out the community-based CP capacity-building packaged to the CB team.
∎ Monitor the delivery of training and provide coaching and mentoring to the CB Officers
∎ Lead the design and roll-out of sensitization messages that are gender, age and culture adapted and target the specific needs of the community.
∎ Review community M&E plans and provide technical support on their roll-out
∎ Raise feedback from community on quality and gaps in services to CIC, local government, coordination mechanisms and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Identify inter-agency actions to address these gaps and develop plans to implement these actions that are coordinated with the community.
∎ Support community-led advocacy to local stakeholders and decision makers to improve access to rights and services.
∎ Feed into reporting to donors, internally and at inter-agency level
∎ Track progress against targets, budget, logistics plans and M&E plans
∎ Represent Tdh with local government stakeholders and community leaders

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in community-based child protection experience in the field of child protection / protection/ social work/ education combined with a team management experience
∎ Knowledge of Child Protection in Emergencies & global standards on community-based child protection
∎ Experience working with children, adolescents, caregivers, community leaders both host and refugee.
∎ Good knowledge of the MS office software (Microsoft Office, Internet, excel)
∎ Excellent leadership and negotiation skills
∎ Excellent facilitation and communication skills
∎ Highly ethical, empathetic, motivated, proactive, autonomous, rigorous, organized.
∎ Fluent in English, Bangla and Chittagong dialect is a must.

Salary: Tk. 65550 (Monthly)
