∎ Resource Development Foundation (RDF) is a multi-sectoral development organisation operating across 48 districts in Bangladesh, with a view to empower marginalised communities through integrated, rights-based interventions. Combining grassroots expertise with strategic partnerships, RDF addresses systemic inequalities by focusing on six core thematic areas. Renowned for its inclusive, gender-transformative approach, RDF priorities vulnerable populations, particularly women, girls, children, persons with disabilities, and climate-affected communities to improve equitable, sustainable development aligned with national priorities and the SDGs.
∎ Resource Development Foundation (RDF), in partnership with a local consortium, is launching the "My Village My Town: Pilot Village Development Project (MVMT: PVDP)," funded by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED). This consulting service project aims to assess knowledge, attitude and practices of waste sources (Organic, inorganic, and hazardous) representative of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management before and after the project intervention; Assess the quantity and types of waste generated and safe disposal before and after the project period. Behavioral Change Initiatives (BCI) related to source segregation of waste, safe collection, transportation, and resource collection are another important component of these initiatives.
∎ The Communication, Social Media and ICT Expert will play a central role in this consulting service project. This position will be responsible for supporting the Project Director in overseeing develop training tools; prepare awareness and campaign materials for IWM (printing materials-flyers, leaflets, posters, etc; videos, mobile apps), branding and communications materials, Baseline situations analysis and documentation & reporting. A meticulous approach to compliance with LGED and RDF standards is essential. Furthermore, the role will contribute significantly to advancing gender equality advocacy within the country, transforming local operational standards and enabling impactful change.
∎ Job contract: The job contract for this position will be for a period of 16 months based on awarded of the project.
