∎ Context:
∎ Following the massive displacement of around 900,000 Rohingya people into Bangladesh, since the end of August 2017, Tdh is implementing an emergency response program to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees and host communities, notably on Child protection, WASH and Health. Tdh`s Child Protection (CP) program consists of three main components: Psychosocial Support (PSS) to children, adolescents and caregivers; Case Management, including Alternative Care and Caring for Child Survivors, and Support to Community-based CP mechanisms.
∎ Job description
∎ The selected candidate will ensure the quality, effective and efficient management of Tdh`s CP projects at all stages of the project cycle through staff management, technical CP supervision and collaboration with the partner organization.
∎ She/he will directly supervise field-based CM Technical Manager, PSS Team Leader and Community Outreach Team Leader, and indirectly support their teams to implement CP project activities in Multi-Purpose Community Center, Primary Healthcare Center, and in the camp setting. She/ he will work in close collaboration with the CP team of the partner organization, ensuring timely and quality implementation of CP activities, ongoing technical capacity building of the partner and gradual handover of program activities.
∎ She/he works with all relevant authorities at the district and community level (civil, religious, police, militaries and all other services) for a better implementation, acceptance and ownership in improving the conditions of the target population.
∎ She/he will and ensure that Child protection principles, CPMS and Tdh`s Child protection in Humanitarian crises policy are being incorporated into all aspects of implementation.
∎ She/he will conduct his/her duties in respect of the Tdh Global Code of Conduct and Risk Management Policies.
∎ Tdh expects that its contractors` professional conduct reflects proper behavior in accordance with local culture and traditions. The incumbent assures the moral protection of the name of Terre des hommes and defends in all circumstances the interests of the movement.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Cycle Management:
∎ Contribute and feed into project design stage through facilitating and coordinating internal and inter-agency technical needs assessments, drawing lessons learned from previous or external interventions, staff and community consultations (including with children)
∎ Contribute to project development through narrative writing in concept notes and proposals, log frame indicator and target, budget, work plan, procurement and monitoring & evaluation plans development.
∎ Lead on implementation of project activities through following-up on work plans, expenditure, procurement, progress against indicators and capacity needs
∎ Address roadblocks to implementation through field visits, staff discussions and problem-solving.
∎ Contribute to learning through ongoing and end-of-project monitoring and evaluation (qualitative and quantitative
∎ Ensure quality implementation of CP activities, including contribution to the development of technical tools and materials (CM, PSS, community-based outreach, gender).
∎ Staff Management and Capacity Building:
∎ Draft/update Job Descriptions for CP subordinate staff, ensuring standardization through the CP Coordinator. Manage the recruitment process for positions in the team, including drafting technical tests, interview questions and following-up on screening, shortlisting, interviews and offers with HR.
∎ Ensure all new staff receives a quality, standard and comprehensive induction on CP and on Tdh.
∎ Ensure all staff in the team have a personalized capacity building plan that includes both CP's technical competencies and professional competencies and receive regular feedback on their performance with recommendations for improvement.
∎ Provide technical support to CP team members of Tdh and the partner organization through formal training and on-the-job supervision, coaching and mentoring
∎ Monitor the performance of team members on the job, providing coaching, mentoring and linking them to training opportunities when needed.
∎ Support team members to positively address disagreements / resolve disputes and promote staff care.
∎ Reporting and Information Management:
∎ Draft monthly, quarterly, interim or final internal or donor reports both narrative and quantitative
∎ Compile field information into reporting requests from the sector (5W, sector assessments/reports)
∎ Ensure the safe, confidential collection, storage, access and analysis of all CP data both hard copies and electronic
∎ Support the case management team of Tdh and its partner to effectively and efficiently use the CPIMS+
∎ Oversee the implementation of the Project Follow-up tool (PFU).
∎ Coordination and Representation:
∎ Represent Tdh at field coordination meetings.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Four years progressively responsible experience in Child Protection, preferably in a humanitarian context
∎ Experience managing Child Protection projects, including budget management
∎ Experience developing Child Protection proposals, internal and external report drafting
∎ Experience managing teams of 5+ staff members
∎ Programmatic experience in CP case management, PSS, gender and disability are mandatory
∎ Full written and oral English and Bangla proficiency is a must, Chittagonian or Burmese is a plus.
∎ Excellent Project Cycle Management (PCM) skills
∎ Excellent staff management, supervision and capacity building skills
∎ Excellent communication, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
∎ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
∎ Commitment to the values and ethics of Tdh.
