Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Chemical Process Management: Monitor and control the chemical composition of anodizing baths, including acid concentrations, temperature, and pH levels. Adjust chemical parameters to ensure optimal anodizing results and process efficiency.
∎ Quality Control: Conduct regular tests and analyses of anodized products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Investigate and resolve any quality issues related to the anodizing process.
∎ Process Optimization: Develop and implement improvements to the anodizing process to enhance product quality and reduce costs. Collaborate with the production and maintenance teams to optimize process parameters and troubleshoot issues.
∎ Chemical Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of chemicals used in the anodizing process, including ordering, storage, and usage tracking. Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals to maintain safety and compliance.
∎ Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous chemicals. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies regarding chemical disposal and waste management. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments in the anodizing section.
∎ Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, process parameters, and quality test results. Prepare reports on process performance, quality issues, and recommendations for improvement.
∎ Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to operators and technicians on chemical handling and process control. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for chemical processes and ensure adherence.
∎ Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in anodizing technology and chemical treatments. Conduct research and experiments to develop new anodizing techniques and improve existing processes.
∎ The Chemist / Asst. Chemist in the Anodizing Department will be responsible for managing and optimizing the chemical processes involved in the anodizing of aluminum profiles. This role requires a strong background in chemistry, particularly in surface treatment processes, and the ability to ensure the quality and efficiency of the anodizing process. The Chemist will play a critical role in maintaining the chemical balance, quality control, and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
