∎ Education: Diploma & Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from any Govt Institute & Public University is highly preferred. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE license) is a plus.
∎ Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proven experience with high-capacity mechanical systems, such as extrusion machines, furnaces, hydraulic systems, and cooling tables.
∎ Technical Skills: Expertise in mechanical system design, installation, and maintenance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong knowledge of mechanical components, such as gears, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS).
∎ Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Certifications: Certification in mechanical safety (e.g., OSHA, ISO) is highly desirable. Training in industrial automation or lean manufacturing is an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Mechanical System Design and Implementation: Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems for new machinery and plant expansions. Review and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Ensure all mechanical systems comply with design standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
∎ Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment, including extrusion machines, casting furnaces, cooling tables, and hydraulic systems. Oversee the diagnosis and resolution of complex mechanical faults in plant machinery. Provide technical guidance and support to the mechanical team during critical breakdowns and repairs.
∎ Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and sub-assistant engineers. Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's technical skills and knowledge of mechanical systems and safety protocols. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure the team meets operational goals and deadlines.
∎ Process Optimization: Analyze mechanical processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements. Recommend and implement upgrades to mechanical systems to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and lower operational costs.
∎ Safety and Compliance: Ensure all mechanical systems and work practices comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company safety policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Promote a culture of safety and accountability within the mechanical team.
∎ Project Management: Lead mechanical projects, including new installations, upgrades, and retrofits, from planning to execution. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful completion. Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
∎ Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of mechanical system designs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance. Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and recommendations for management. Ensure accurate documentation of all mechanical work for compliance and audit purposes.
∎ Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering, automation, and manufacturing technologies. Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and technological innovation. Implement best practices to enhance the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.
∎ The Senior Engineer or Engineer in the Mechanical Department will oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of all mechanical systems and equipment within the Aluminium Profile Extrusion Plant.
∎ This role requires a highly skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in industrial machinery, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex projects. The Senior Engineer will ensure the plant's mechanical infrastructure operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards, while also driving innovation and continuous improvement.
