Position Purpose
To oversee day-to-day store operations, including stock custody, accuracy, forecasting, and performance reporting at Jamuna Paper Mills Ltd. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, seamless supply to production and accurate timely reporting to support planning and operational efficiency. The position plays a critical role in inventory control and supply reliability.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervise all store activities, including receipt, issuance, storage and stock placement, ensuring efficient layout and inventory tracking.
• Conduct regular physical inventory audits, reconcile system records with actual stock and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as inventory turnover, stock accuracy, lead time and carrying costs prepare reports.
• Implement and enforce inventory control methodologies—including reorder levels, safety stock, and Just-In-Time approaches—to optimize stock levels and minimize capital tied-up in inventory.
• Lead and mentor store staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols and operational best practices.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, production and supply chain teams to align inventory availability with manufacturing requirements and prevent stock outs.
• Manage store infrastructure—rack layout, shelving, labeling to improve organization, picking efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct safety training and minimize risks in store operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, digital reporting, and integration of analytics for informed inventory decisions.
