∎ Safeguarding and PSEA:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding and PSEA implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Identification and registration of vulnerable children, conducting best interest assessment and developing case plan, making referrals for service providers
∎ Conduct follow-up and monitoring visits based on the child’s needs
∎ Inform the supervisor of urgent and challenging cases.
∎ Work closely with PSS, Counter-Trafficking, GBV and General Protection teams, and other IOM Units, as well as different agencies for the effective identification of vulnerable and at-risk children, including children with disabilities.
∎ Maintain case files accordingly, upholding confidentiality and IOM data protection policies
∎ Providing weekly reports and inputs for the Unit reports
∎ Providing capacity building and supervision of CM Rohingya Volunteers
∎ Support community awareness sessions on child protection concerns and identification of vulnerable children
∎ Support in programme monitoring and child protection mainstreaming activities as requested
∎ Report any violation of the child safeguarding policy and PSEA of IOM
∎ Any other task relevant to the position
∎ The Case Worker will ensure appropriate support for children through:
