∎ Terre des Hommes Foundation (TdH) is the leading Swiss INGO focusing on child rights. It is active in more than 30 countries with development and emergency projects. TdH interventions are focused on the three programs: Health, Migration and Access to Justice particularly for vulnerable children. TdH Foundation has a transversal approach towards Child Protection programming and it cuts across all the thematic areas while also has been considered as one of the key value propositions in its business model. The Child Protection expertise within TdH Foundation aims to develop high quality, evidence-based knowledge and know-how adapted to fragile contexts, conflict zones, and development to improve the protection of children’s rights and their right to protection from all forms of violence (art 19, 34 CRC) in collaboration with and in support of the three core programs. The TdH Foundation global strategy 2021-2024 specifies that the rights-based participation, empowerment, and active involvement of children and communities in defining and implementing responses are essential to improve child protection.
∎ Context:
∎ TdH is working in Bangladesh since 1974, with operations in Kurigram district, Dhaka district and Cox’s Bazaar district. Currently, TdH is implementing programs on Health, Access to Justice (social cohesion and conflict resolution) and Migration, integrated by the transversal expertise WaSH and Child protection. TdH interventions in Bangladesh are both in development and emergency context.
∎ Following the massive displacement of more than 800,000 people into Bangladesh since the end of August 2017, TdH has put in place an important emergency response plan to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees, notably on Health, WaSH, Child Protection and Social cohesion. Alongside, TdH is implementing the CLARISSA project in Dhaka slums aiming to build a strong evidence base and generate innovative solutions to the worst forms of child labor (WFCL) and will explore how to take these solutions to scale.
∎ TdH in Bangladesh has started the process of integration of emergency and development approaches and aims to capitalize its institutional learning for further programme expansion and to create critical pathways for evidence-based advocacy.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ General Description of the Role:
∎ The Case Management Officer is responsible for providing Case Management Services to the children in needs and experiencing violence, exploitation, abuse, and neglect in the assigned Camps area. S/He will work under the supervision of Case Management Technical Manager.
∎ Key roles and responsibilities:
∎ Identify individual cases through regular presence in the Camps, receive referrals from other agencies and community partners as well as TdH non-CP Units, TdH PSS and Community-Based Protection activities;
∎ Conduct initial (rapid) assessments for CP cases and prioritize them according to risk level;
∎ Develop case plans that respond to the needs identified in initial and comprehensive assessments, with the participation of the child and family when appropriate;
∎ Regularly follow up to ensure all services and action points listed in the case plan are carried out within agreed time frames, ensure that progress is regularly reviewed;
∎ Regularly monitor and support children and families through home visits, providing guidance, advice and emotional support, family and community mediation and referrals;
∎ Work with CM Technical Manager and CM Technical Coordinator to arrange case conferences for complex cases and ensure children receive multidisciplinary support;
∎ Facilitate Problem Management Plus (PM+) sessions for the Persons in Need;
∎ Manage cases in line with TdH and Inter-Agency SOPs, adhere to standard documentation processes and follow best practice guidance;
∎ Regularly document cases using IA CM forms and CPIMS+, update databases to ensure a comprehensive record of the cases;
∎ Ensure that data collection and storage respect data protection protocols and confidentiality principle;
∎ Ensure timely submission of weekly and / or plans and reports to the line manager;
∎ Collect feedback from beneficiaries on case management process and implement any other M&E plans;
∎ Contribute to Needs Assessment, including child-led safety mapping and community consultations;
∎ Conduct outreach to identify most vulnerable children (with a focus on inclusion of children with disabilities) and their caregivers and encourage their participation in PSS activities;
∎ Document registration, consent, referrals and attendance in TdH’s databases;
∎ Prepare weekly/monthly work-plans with clear objectives setting short-term, mid-term and long-term targets priorities;
∎ Facilitate internal and external referrals of children in need of additional support, care or protection;
∎ Conduct participatory M&E activities to collect beneficiaries’ feedback and opinions on the quality and satisfaction with the activities and ensure this feedback informs implementation.
∎ Provide effective supervision, mentorship, coaching and guidance to Case Management Volunteers.
∎ Provide support to PSS Officers and Community-Based Protection Officers to implement project activities effectively, and achieve the project goal efficiently.
∎ Coordination and representation:
∎ Work in close collaboration and coordination with TdH partners and the key actors (formal and informal community leaders, local authorities, donor representatives);
∎ Establish and maintain efficient coordination and collaboration with target beneficiaries, community members, TdH partners, CP and non-CP actors, formal and informal authorities, Site management, CiCs and other key actors;
∎ Participate in fora and meetings held at the Camp level in Her/ His field of expertise, when relevant and necessary;
∎ Child Protection/ Safeguarding:
∎ Promote inclusion and equal access for every child, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable and at-risk children and children with disabilities;
∎ Always maintain strict confidentiality regarding information and data sharing of beneficiaries;
∎ Report serious cases of abuse committed against children to the CP Project Manager; strict confidentiality must be respected;
∎ Promote, and ensure project activities are in line with the Child Protection Minimum Standards and humanitarian principles;
∎ Ensure that project activities are well-integrated in the Bangladesh Child Protection System and humanitarian coordination practices and guidelines;
∎ Ensure TdH Global Code of Conduct is respected at all times, cases of abuse are reported through established reporting channels in a timely and confidential manner;
∎ Other:
∎ Fully comply with TdH Global Code of Conduct and ensure Child Safeguarding Standards are upheld at all times;
∎ Adhere to and ensure the team/s under Her/His responsibility follows TdH administrative and logistical regulations and procedures;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 02 years’ experience in the field of Case Management/ Child Protection/ Protection/ SGBV/ Social Work.
∎ Basic IT knowledge (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
∎ Knowledge of child protection systems in Bangladesh/ Excellent knowledge of child protection issues and best practices (Child Protection and SGBV) / Previous experience in dealing with complex child protection cases is highly desirable.
∎ Proven expertise and experience in GBV response programming especially Case Management.
∎ Languages:
∎ Fluent in Bangla and Chittagonian/ Rohingya Dialect and good written and verbal communication skills in English Language;

Salary: Tk. 55400 (Monthly)
