Strong understanding of solar PV technology, EPC workflows, and energy market dynamics.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Suite.
Analytical and strategic thinking with problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage and inspire a team, work under pressure, and prioritize effectively.
Willingness to travel extensively for business development and client meetings.
Job Purpose
The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth for the company’s Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) solutions. The role bridges technical knowledge with sales expertise to promote solar energy adoption in the Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional (C&I) sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities
Market Development & Lead Generation
Identify potential clients and new market opportunities within the C&I sectors.
Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, social media, and participation in trade shows or industry events.
Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and regularly update lead status.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
Meet prospective clients to understand their energy requirements and sustainability goals.
Deliver persuasive presentations and proposals highlighting technical and financial benefits of solar solutions.
Maintain long-term relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Proposal Development & Negotiation
Coordinate with design and engineering teams to develop accurate technical and commercial proposals.
Conduct preliminary financial evaluations (ROI, payback periods, energy savings).
Support negotiations on terms, pricing, and contracts in line with company policy.
Market & Competitor Analysis
Monitor solar industry trends, competitor activities, and policy changes.
Provide management with insights and suggestions for improving business development strategies.
Sales & Revenue Achievement
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and contribution margins.
Support in preparing annual business plans, territory strategies, and revenue forecasts.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with project, engineering, and finance teams to ensure smooth project handover after contract signing.
Follow up with clients during and after project implementation to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
