Job Context
Sara Express is a growing District & Inter-District AC/Non-AC bus transport service providing reliable passenger services within regional routes. We are seeking a competent Automobile Engineer to manage vehicle maintenance, fitness, and operational readiness of our district-route bus fleet.
The role focuses on day-to-day operational vehicles, breakdown prevention, fitness compliance, and on-route technical support.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise maintenance and repair of district route AC & Non-AC buses
Ensure regular servicing of engine, clutch, brake, suspension, electrical & AC systems
Prepare and implement preventive maintenance plans suitable for short & medium routes
Monitor vehicle fitness, route-wise performance, and daily breakdown reports
Coordinate with drivers, supervisors, and helpers to identify technical issues
Ensure vehicles remain BRTA compliant and road-worthy at all times
Maintain records of service history, parts usage, and maintenance costs
Inspect vehicles before daily dispatch and after route completion
Coordinate with local workshops and spare parts suppliers
Reduce downtime and maintenance cost through efficient planning
Support accident analysis and recommend corrective measures
