• Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering/ Metallurgy/ Industrial Engineering (or Diploma with strong experience)

• 8-10 year’s experience in electroplating, preferably in metal finishing/ accessories.

• Strong Knowledge of plating processes (Nickel, Chrome, Zinc, Copper, etc.)

• Hands on experience with plating baths, rectifiers, rectifiers and testing equipment.

• Good Leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Supervise daily electroplating operations, including chemical bath preparation, plating cycles, and finishing processes.

• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

• Monitor process parameters to achieve consistent plating thickness, adhesion, and appearance.

• Coordinate with production planning to meet delivery schedules.

• Implement and monitor plating standards and specifications (thickness, adhesion, corrosion resistance, etc.).

• Conduct regular inspections and testing (micron testing, salt spray test, adhesion tests).

• Troubleshoot quality issues and take corrective/preventive actions.

• Work closely with the QA team to meet customer quality requirements.

• Monitor bath composition, pH levels, temperature, and chemical concentrations.

• Schedule regular chemical analysis and maintain bath performance.

• Ensure proper chemical additions, regeneration, and waste reduction.

• Maintain plating equipment in good working condition.

• Ensure strict adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations in chemical handling, waste disposal, and plating operations.

• Train workers on safe handling of chemicals and emergency procedures.

• Maintain compliance with environmental standards and audits.

• Supervise and guide plating operators and technicians.

• Provide technical training on plating processes and best practices.

• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

• Monitor chemical consumption and control wastage.

• Plan and optimize resources to minimize production costs.

• Support management in achieving cost reduction and productivity targets.
