Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Meghna Fresh LPG Limited (MFLPG) is one of the sister concerns of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). MFLPG is engaged in producing cylinder gas for household, private, and commercial usage. MFLPG is pursuing excellent growth through a motivated & performance-driven team under the flagship brand named `Fresh LPG`. Currently, MFLPG is seeking for skilled and experienced engineer who will be responsible for ship/gas operations while onboarding the LPG carrier and handling cargo. The incumbent will report to the department head for the duties and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective operation and supervision of the safety systems on the LPG/LEG carrier ship, such as the Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Deck Spray System, CO2 System, and Gas Detection System to uphold the highest standards of ship safety.

  • Operate all cargo handling equipment, including Cargo Control Cabinet, Motor Control Center, Nitrogen Generator, Main Switchboard (MSB), Expeditionary Sea Base (ESB), Double Bottom (DB) Tanks, Temperature Sensors, Pressure Sensors, 300 KW Generator, Main Engine , Steering, Winch, Deep Well Pump, Compressor, Hydraulic Power Units, and SVC to ensure the safe and efficient handling of cargo operations.

  • Maintain regular communication with the Mother Vessel throughout the loading process and also during unloading communication with the shore person & uphold documentation tasks.

  • Conduct scheduled inspections of lighter vessels and implement essential safety measures to address fire hazards, ensuring compliance with site policies and procedures, and report as required.

  • Inspect all machinery and maintain accurate records of all electrical operations, inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs and forward them to the relevant authority.

  • Ensure weekly & monthly Inspection of the lighter vessel, onboard spare parts (Deck & Engine Dept.), Cargo handling unit (Spare parts-forecastle store) & also clean ship of the ship.

  • Ensure the calculation of Cargo before loading, after loading and after unloading.
