Job Context

Meghna Pulp and Paper Mills Ltd. (Liner & Medium, Plant -5), one of the sister concerns of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), which is involved in producing Industrial paper and Coated duplex board etc. Currently, we are looking for some proactive individuals who will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the stock preparation process, ensuring the smooth operation of paper machines. The incumbent will report to the functional head for the daily duties and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee the operations of both paper machines and stock preparation processes through the utilization of DCS systems by ensuring seamless integration and adherence to production quality standards.

• Analyze and optimize stock preparation parameters, including refining, consistency control, and fiber quality to enhance machine performance and final paper properties.

• Identify, document, and report any operational irregularities, machine malfunctions, or deviations in stock preparation, ensuring timely corrective actions and minimal production disruptions.

• Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues to ensure optimal efficiency and reduced downtime.

• Maintain accurate records of raw materials, chemicals, and process conditions for stock preparation and paper machines by preparing detailed reports for inventory and process improvement.

• Assist in managing shift manpower by coordinating with supervisors to ensure proper workforce allocation for both stock preparation and machine operations while maintaining adherence to safety protocols and production targets.

• Assist in shift management to ensure workforce allocation, safety protocols, and production targets.

• Establish and maintain open lines of communication with the Head of Department, providing regular updates on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning.
