Responsibilities & Context:

  1. Assist the Production & Factory Manager in planning, implementing, and monitoring the overall quality management system for garment production.

  2. Monitor product quality from fabric inspection, cutting, sewing, finishing, pressing, packing to final shipment.

  3. Ensure all garments are produced according to buyer requirements, approved samples, specifications, measurement charts, workmanship standards, and quality manuals.

  4. Conduct and monitor inline, end-line, finishing, and final inspections to identify quality problems at an early stage.

  5. Follow up & perforn on GPQ (Guideline for Production and Quality Controler) requirements and ensure consistent product quality throughout the production process.

  6. Analyze quality inspection reports and identify major, minor, and critical defects.

  7. Take corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring quality problems.

  8. Coordinate with Production, Cutting, IE, Merchandising, Washing, Finishing, and Compliance teams to resolve quality issues.

  9. Monitor production lines and ensure that quality checkpoints are properly maintained.

  10. Review and approve quality-related reports, inspection records, and defect analysis reports.

  11. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major quality failures and implement effective corrective actions.

  12. Monitor DHU, defect rate, rejection rate, alteration rate, rework, and customer complaint trends.

  13. Ensure proper implementation of AQL inspection procedures and buyer-specific quality standards.

  14. Conduct regular quality meetings with production and relevant departments and follow up on action points.

  15. Train and guide Quality Inspectors, Quality Officers, Line QC, and Junior Quality on quality standards and inspection procedures.

  16. Ensure proper understanding and implementation of PP meeting, pilot run, size set, pre-production sample, TOP sample, and approved sample requirements.

  17. Check and follow up on measurement accuracy, workmanship, construction, appearance, labeling, packing, and finishing requirements.

  18. Coordinate with the technical/QC team regarding fit, measurement, construction, and workmanship issues.

  19. Monitor quality performance of new styles and ensure quality requirements are understood before bulk production.

  20. Participate in pre-production and quality meetings and provide technical quality feedback.

  21. Ensure that approved samples, specifications, comments, and buyer requirements are properly communicated to production teams.

  22. Monitor quality performance during bulk production and ensure timely corrective action.

  23. Investigate internal and external quality complaints and ensure proper corrective action.

  24. Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports for management.

  25. Maintain proper documentation and records of inspections, defects, corrective actions, and quality performance.

  26. Support buyer/third-party inspection and audit activities when required.

  27. Ensure compliance with company quality policies, buyer standards, and applicable quality procedures.

  28. Continuously identify opportunities to reduce defects, improve workmanship, minimize rework, and increase first-pass quality.

  29. Perform any other quality-related responsibilities assigned by the Production / Planing Manager/Management.
