· Fabric & Laundry Knowledge: Deep understanding of woven fabric behaviors (denim, canvas, heavy twills, nylon, ripstop), sewing assembly sequences, and wet/dry laundry shrinkage mechanics.· Production Awareness: Familiarity with modern cutting room hardware, including automated plotters (e.g., TKT systems) and fabric spreaders, to ensure digital pattern compatibility on the production floor.
· Technical Pattern Architecture: Develop precise base patterns using GT CAD Easy Pattern for trousers, denim, and utility bottoms, focusing heavily on critical fit points such as crotch curves, hip-to-waist ratios, seat depth, and rise balances.
· Jacket Structural Design: Draft complex multi-layered patterns for lined or casual jackets, ensuring accurate armhole-to-sleeve pitches, shoulder slants, functional hoods/collars, and front facing allowances.
· Component Drafting: Engineer exact digital patterns for utility components, including fly openings, welt pockets, cargo pockets, zipper tapes, inner linings, and contoured waistbands.
· Advanced GT CAD Platform Operations: Leverage GT CAD Easy Fitting 3D to visualize, test, and rectify garment silhouettes on digital avatars, correcting drape and balance issues prior to physical sample construction.
