• In-depth knowledge of Air Separation Unit (ASU/ASP) mechanical systems, including compressors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, pumps, valves, and cryogenic equipment.

• Strong expertise in fabrication, erection, commissioning, and mechanical installation work for industrial plants.

• Hands-on experience in preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance of heavy industrial machinery.

• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical failures, vibration issues, temperature/pressure variations, and breakdown analysis.

• Sound understanding of P&ID, mechanical drawings, and engineering standards (ISO, ASME, API).

• Experience with maintenance planning tools, CMMS, and documentation systems.

We are encouraging competent and experienced professionals to apply for the position of Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager in the Mechanical Department of Air Separation Plant (ASP). The position is responsible for the mechanical operation, installation, and maintenance activities of the Air Separation Plant (ASP) to ensure uninterrupted oxygen supply for the Steel Melt Shop. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and strict adherence to safety and operational standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and monitor all mechanical installation and maintenance activities of the Air Separation Plant by preparing detailed schedules and tracking progress to ensure timely completion and uninterrupted plant operation.

• Supervise fabrication, erection, commissioning, and performance testing of ASP mechanical systems through direct on-site oversight to ensure accurate installation and optimum system performance.

• Execute preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance programs by following structured maintenance plans to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.

• Prepare annual and monthly maintenance budgets and cost estimates by analyzing operational needs and forecasting expenses to maintain cost control and resource availability.

• Maintain and control spare parts inventory by tracking stock levels and documenting usage to ensure critical parts are always available and prevent production delays.

• Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Utility teams by maintaining daily communication and resolving technical issues to ensure smooth and synchronized plant operation.

• Provide technical guidance and supervision to the mechanical team by offering hands-on coaching and support to build team capability and improve maintenance efficiency.

• Ensure strict compliance with site safety policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements by conducting regular safety checks and enforcing procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.

• Monitor equipment performance and analyze breakdown trends by reviewing data and performing root-cause analysis to implement improvements and reduce future downtime.
