About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and strategic professional to join our Sustainability team as AGM – Sustainability. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable business practices, ensuring compliance, and leading environmental and social sustainability initiatives across all our group factories. This role requires close coordination with internal departments, buyers, and certification bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement group-wide sustainability strategies aligned with corporate vision and global frameworks (SDGs, SBTi, Higg FEM/FSLM, SLCP, ZDHC, etc.).

• Oversee social and environmental compliance across all factories, ensuring continuous improvement and full adherence to buyer, RSC, and national standards.

• Coordinate compliance audits and certifications (e.g., amfori BSCI, Higg FEM, Higg FSLM, SLCP, SEDEX, OEKO-TEX®, Better Cotton, GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, etc.) and ensure continuous compliance.

• Prepare audit CAP report independently and follow up.

• Guide and mentor sustainability teams to strengthen internal systems and governance.

• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders (brands, auditors, BEPZA & related regulatory bodies) to ensure transparency and responsible practices.

• Represent the organization in sustainability forums, partnerships, and buyer engagements.

• Lead environmental projects such as energy & water efficiency, chemical management, carbon footprint reduction, and waste management.

• Track and report sustainability KPIs and prepare regular updates for internal and external stakeholders.

• Support factory-level teams in meeting buyer sustainability standards and responding to customer queries and audits.

• Maintain and keep all compliance related documents as per buyers, labor law and other requirements.
