Meghna Re-Rolling and Steel Mills Limited (MRSML), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries, is establishing a top-notch steel factory in Bangladesh with the latest European technologies and machinery, having an annual production capacity of 1.5 million MT. The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets to meet the growing demand in the local market and to contribute significantly to economic growth through exports around the globe. To achieve this goal, we are looking for dynamic, self-motivated, and technically sound fresh B.Sc. Engineers to join as Assistant Engineer, Electrical Department in the Rolling Mill and Meltshop. The selected candidates will be responsible for assisting in operations, maintenance, and process control activities under the guidance of senior engineers, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production at the factory complex.
Job Responsibilities:
Learn advanced electrical and automation systems in rolling mills and meltshop to build long-term technical capability by participating in training, observing senior engineers, and applying best practices.
Assist in electrical equipment operation in the rolling mill and meltshop to ensure stable production by observing current, voltage, power factor, and control panel readings, and reporting deviations for corrective action.
Assist in electrical maintenance activities to minimize unplanned breakdowns by supporting senior engineers, following standard maintenance schedules, and applying electrical knowledge.
Inspect motors, control panels, switchgears, drives, transformers, and wiring systems to detect faults or abnormal heating in order to prevent sudden failures by performing routine checks and testing with instruments.
Support troubleshooting of electrical breakdowns in rolling stands, CCM, EAF, cranes, and auxiliary systems to reduce downtime by identifying root causes, replacing faulty components, and applying guided solutions.
Assist in commissioning, calibration, and testing of new electrical systems to ensure reliable performance by following technical manuals and working under supervision.
Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure electrical systems support stable operations and product quality by monitoring automation systems and control circuits.
Monitor power consumption, backup systems, and energy distribution to ensure energy efficiency and reliability by recording usage, identifying wastage, and suggesting improvements.
Follow electrical safety standards to prevent accidents by wearing PPE, adhering to lockout-tagout procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
Maintain electrical logs, shift reports, and maintenance records to ensure traceability and continuous improvement by documenting readings, tests, and interventions accurately.
