∎ Regularly monitor compliance status with relevant laws of the country and international standards.
∎ Develop and implement company policies and regulations.
∎ Actively participate in and coordinate activities with stakeholders such as Customs, NBR, BRTA, BIDA, City Corporation, etc., to ensure alignment and mutual interests.
∎ Coordinate with government officials, C&F agents, banks, freight forwarders, and transport for import purposes, ensuring proper customs handling and documentation
∎ Oversee customs clearing and forwarding, negotiate with authorities, and finalize matters related to Customs, Banks, Exports, LC, Freight Forwarding, C&F, Supply Chain, etc., through the Commercial Department of the Group.
∎ Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies, ensuring effective communication and resolution of regulatory matters.
∎ Represent the company in regulatory meetings and maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities.
∎ Keep management up-to-date with all relevant changes in VAT/Tax regulations and their potential impact on the organization.
∎ Serve as the primary subject matter expert on Value Added Tax (VAT) regulations, staying updated on the latest changes and their impact.
∎ Maintain and update all licenses, including Factory License, Fire License, Environmental License, Trade License, etc. Coordinate and liaise with government agencies and various stakeholders regularly.
∎ Address issues related to Risk, Legal, and Compliance work, as well as other control-related activities.
∎ Ensure timely and proper imports of raw materials and other items, adhering to company policies and strategies, while maintaining proper specifications and quality parameters.
∎ Manage business operations related to compliance, including policies, investments, and procedures.
∎ Design and monitor control systems to address violations of legal rules and internal policies.
∎ Design and execute control systems, and recommend effective improvements related to compliance issues.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
