Responsibilities & Context:
  • Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets in terms of value and quantity (daily/monthly/yearly) and key business KPIs, including Average Ticket Value, Basket Size, NFT contribution, conversion rate, and productivity benchmarks.

  • Drive area and store-level profitability through effective sales planning and operational management.

  • Collaborate with the Product Management, Fulfillment and CDC teams for effective stock planning, route mapping, product availability and minimize article wise cut size.

  • Analyze sell-through data and maintain optimal inventory by identifying top articles, managing slow-moving stock and aging merchandise with proper liquidation strategies.

  • Design manpower plans and lead employee development initiatives in coordination with HR, including performance reviews and training plans.

  • Oversee store operations by conducting monthly visits and ensuring compliance in stock levels, cash management, petty cash utilization, VM execution, and promotional activities.

  • Implement in-store promotional calendars in collaboration with the Product Management, Marketing, and VM teams, ensuring effective catchment communication and visibility.

  • Lead new store openings and manage closure of underperforming stores as per strategic direction in coordination with Leasing department.

  • Ensure timely license renewals, statutory document updates, and compliance with government regulations across all stores in the area in coordination with HR department.

  • Own full accountability for stock, cash, and assets within the assigned area and ensure regular inventory audits are conducted as per visit checklist.

  • Handle government agency communications in line with HR, Legal, Vat and Tax department and maintain proper documentation.

  • Monitor and manage employee attrition while building a culture of performance and accountability.

  • Drive succession planning by identifying and developing high-potential employees for next level roles within the store hierarchy, ensuring continuity and readiness for internal promotions.

  • Regularly review store performance and employee KPIs, conduct weekly/monthly/quarterly check-ins and determine actionable improvements based on the outcomes.
