Experience:

• Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

• At least 22 years

• More than 22 years of experience in Electrical & Automation of EAF-based Steel production plant (SMS Plant), out of which 10 years in the leadership role of Electrical & Automation of steel industry.
• The candidates must have experience working with licensors like SIEMENS, ABB, and Schneider.
• The candidates must have competencies in Project Management, Electrical & Automation Design.

Job Context:

Meghna Re-Rolling and Steel Mills Limited (MRSML), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries is going to establish a top-notch steel factory in Bangladesh with the latest European technologies and machinery having a production capacity of 1.5 million MT per annum. The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets through the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) process that will meet the uprising demand in the local market and will also bring significant economic growth by exporting around the globe. We are encouraging competent and experienced professionals to apply to the position of AGM/DGM- Electrical & Automation. This position will be responsible for managing the Electrical department of the Re-Rolling & Steel Plant and will report to the plant head.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical engineering team in planning, designing, and executing electrical systems for MRSML, focusing on transmission lines and grid infrastructure.

• Proficient in all stages of the project (Re-Rolling Steel Mills) development and implementation, with the commissioning of project equipment for safe operation, enhancing operational effectiveness of equipment, generating material Indents & following up from local & foreign trade departments.

• Manage the process of obtaining necessary regulatory clearances, permits, and approvals for electrical installations and transmission lines.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize grid management and ensure reliable electrical supply for MRSML.

• Oversee the installation of electrical equipment, materials, and services related to transmission lines and grid infrastructure including revamping the Electric Arc Furnace & Continuous Casting Machine (for OPEN/CLOSED Casting) with Automation.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex electrical engineering issues and ensure project milestones are met.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, project management, and others to integrate electrical systems with overall project requirements.

• Mentor and supervise a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and others involved in the MRSML Project.

• Provide Ideas & modifications in the planning, setting priorities, developing a work schedule, monitoring progress towards goals, and tracking details/data/information/activities.

• Lead to prepare different types of reports using tools like RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and submit it to the management.
