Responsibilities & Context:
Lead and manage the entire CAD, Sample Development, Pre-Production and Technical Department activities.
Ensure accurate interpretation of buyer tech packs, specifications, measurements and construction details.
Supervise CAD pattern development, grading and marker planning activities.
Monitor sample development process including Proto Sample, Fit Sample, PP Sample, Size Set Sample and Shipment Sample.
Conduct Pre-Production meetings and ensure all technical requirements are communicated to production teams.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, IE, Quality and Planning teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.
Review and approve consumption, garment construction, measurement specifications and technical comments.
Analyze and resolve fitting, pattern and sewing related issues during sample and production stages.
Ensure buyer compliance requirements and quality standards are maintained throughout the development process.
Lead technical discussions with buyers, buying houses and internal stakeholders.
Develop and mentor team members to improve technical capability and operational efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce sample rejection and improve first-time approval rate.
