  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering similar role with at least 07 years in a managerial position in textile sector.

  • Proven experience in product development from concept to production.

  • Strong knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire a diverse team.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities paired with strong analytical skills.

  • Adept at project management principles with proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Leadership Quality with positive attitude & having ability to take decision independently.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary:

As the Departmental Head you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and processes of all capital machineries. You will lead a talented team of engineers, ensuring that machineries installation as well as troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing mechanical systems to minimize downtime and improve overall plant performance. Your expertise will drive innovation and efficiency while fostering a collaborative environment that empowers your team to excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team to achieve project objectives and deliverables.

  • Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to integrate mechanical designs effectively.

  • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines; monitor progress against targets.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing feedback and opportunities for professional growth.

  • Identify areas for process improvement within mechanical operations; implement best practices to enhance productivity.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering technologies.

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all mechanical systems and equipment.

  • Coordinate and execute corrective maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical failures.

  • Monitor the condition of critical mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and piping systems.

  • Ensure that spare parts and tools are available and in good condition to support maintenance activities.

  • Lead and manage mechanical maintenance projects, such as overhauls, upgrades, and installations.

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including operations, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Implement best practices in maintenance management and introduce new technologies where applicable.

  • Monitor & supervise all the issues such as air compressor, diesel & gas generator, water pump, steam boiler, washing machine, dyeing, ETP, Printing etc.

  • Ensure proper monitoring & follow-up routine for scheduled maintenance. Including breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting maintenance, etc.

  • To minimize NPT (Non-Productive Time) at a minimum level.

  • To enhance optimum efficiency of all electrical & power equipment.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers for materials, equipment, or outsourced services.
